The story is about a boy who in the southern who did not tell the truth. His father was arugeuing about the hog in the pen. A nigger had bought the hog for a dollar. The nigger

had said something to the man when he had bought the hog. He had said, you wood and hay kin could burn. That night the barn had burn and the father had asked where the nigger. They had

found the nigger and bought to court. There was lots of arugement in the court so they had bought the boy up. He had talked quiet to Colonel Sartoris and the said in emeny emeny. The case was dismissed and told him not to come back in the country. Colonel Sartoris was in the Eupereon war back then and his father too.
